About me

Hey there, I'm Alvaro, a UI/UX designer with over 8 years of experience creating and directing User Interfaces, User Experience, and User Research for digital products.

Based in Zürich, originally from Brazil, I've worked for a wide range of companies from small startups to large enterprises. Currently, I'm a Staff UX Designer at SmallPDF where I focus on mobile app innovation and improving user experience.

I bring a diverse set of skills to the table, ranging from developing UI/UX workflows and creative problem-solving to information design and data analysis/visualization. My proficiency in various design tools makes me well-equipped to tackle any design challenge. Additionally, I am always exploring side projects, have a YouTube channel with over 20k monthly views, and enjoy teaching and mentoring designers worldwide.

As a Senior Product Designer at ServiZurich, I led new projects and worked on strategic initiatives, reporting to level C. I created a Design System to unify communication and researched new technologies, while ideating new innovation projects. Using Agile-Scrum and Design Thinking methodologies, I facilitated workshops, conducted research, and developed successful information architecture, wireframes, and visual interfaces.
