As a UX Designer at Europcar, I had the privilege of working on the B2B solutions and projects within the company's innovative platform called Ubeeqo. My primary responsibility was to enhance the mobile app experience, leading a dedicated team of five professionals. Throughout this project, I collaborated closely with the Product Manager and Data Science team to ensure the successful delivery of user-centric solutions.

Project Overview: B2B Solutions for Europcar's Ubeeqo

Project Objectives:

  1. Improve the Mobile App Experience: The key focus of this project was to enhance the user experience of the Ubeeqo mobile app, which targeted B2B customers. We aimed to create a seamless and intuitive app interface that would streamline the booking and management processes for businesses.
  2. Optimize User Flows: By analyzing user behavior and conducting user research, we identified pain points and areas for improvement in the existing user flows. Our goal was to optimize these flows to minimize friction and enhance overall user satisfaction.
  3. Design Consistency: One of the core objectives was to establish a consistent and cohesive design language across the app. This involved creating a comprehensive design system that encompassed typography, color schemes, iconography, and UI components. Maintaining design consistency ensured a unified experience for users across different sections of the app.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams was crucial to the success of the project. I worked closely with the Product Manager to align design objectives with business goals and user needs. Additionally, close collaboration with the Data Science team allowed us to incorporate data-driven insights into our design decisions.

Project Process:

  1. Research and Discovery: We conducted extensive research to gain insights into the needs, expectations, and pain points of B2B customers using the Ubeeqo platform. This involved user interviews, usability testing, and competitive analysis. The research findings guided our design decisions throughout the project.
  2. Wireframing and Prototyping: Based on the research insights, I created low-fidelity wireframes to outline the app's structure and interactions. These wireframes were transformed into interactive prototypes using industry-standard design tools. Prototyping helped us iterate and validate our design concepts before moving into the development phase.
  3. User Testing and Iteration: We conducted usability testing sessions with target users to gather feedback on the app's prototype. User feedback allowed us to refine the design, resolve usability issues, and ensure the app met user expectations. Iterative design cycles were implemented to incorporate these insights and continuously improve the user experience.
  4. Design System Development: To maintain design consistency and streamline the development process, I led the development of a comprehensive design system. This involved creating a library of reusable UI components, guidelines for visual elements, and documentation for developers to ensure consistent implementation of the design.
  5. Collaboration and Agile Development: Throughout the project, we followed an agile development approach, working in sprints and regularly collaborating with the development team. Close collaboration and clear communication with the team ensured the smooth integration of design and development efforts.

The successful execution of the project resulted in significant improvements to the B2B mobile app experience within Ubeeqo. Key achievements and impacts include:
